Post 15: Ancillary Task 2: Film Reviews

The conventions that I have discovered after analysing the film reviews are as follows:

A big bold picture to catch the readers eyes, which most of the times is very colourful and in fine        quality.
- There seems to be a quote or slogan next to the film title.
- According to the film reviews above, the titles are all in block capital bold letters to make it more eye catching.
- The review is displayed in a style of a ‘newspaper article’ layout next to the big picture.
- There is a ‘star’ rating to rate how good the film is, and next it, it mentions when the film is out o if it’s ‘out now’.
- Each film review is reviewed by a critic and the name is hen displayed in the bottom of the film review.
- In the beginning of the sentence it always starts of with a ‘drop cap’.
- It also mentions some of the cast and crew and what the film is certified as.
- There is also a verdict of the film as a whole at the end of the film review.
- Also in the black and white film review there is a whole list of the credits and casts,
- It also mentions the synopsis of the film.

Here is a rough example/template of how my film review would look like:
