Hollywood film posters are as you can see very eye catching and dramatic as they have a lot of money to spend on them. This a conventional film poster of a horror movie. with the effects of having a spooky women at the front and the conventional title at the bottom of the picture to illustrate that this is a horror movie. This film poster has included the cast details at the top, there are only three names there and obviously that would be the main characters starring in that film. Just above the title, it says 'a film by' this tells us on who had made this film. It also has a slogan, so that the audience have a brief insight of the film, and finally there is a little quote from an audience who added an input of what they think about the film.

Here is an analysis of a British film poster:
British film posters also spend a lot of money when coming to the making of the poster it self. Especially that it being one of the Harry Potter films which has earned an enormous amount of money in the word throughout their exploding profit making franchise. As you can see the main character is displayed at the front along with his side characters behind supporting him. In the poster it is seen as an conventional fantasy film with all the dark colours and mystical background. This poster has also stated all the production company details on the bottom whereas the Hollywood poster only had the person who made the film. It also has details of when the film is out and what production company it is supported by which in this case is the 'Warner Brothers'
